Working on a project for a product that isn’t developed yet can be a real challenge. Luckily Modest Mom had a clear idea of the aesthetic and functionality they were after. They provided several examples of e-commerce sites they liked, as well as giving some direction for creating the identity. Although their products weren’t being manufactured yet, they hoped to have a site designed/built/tested so they could launch as soon as a production date was given.
Working from our conversations and a few placeholder images they supplied, I went about creating an identity and design comps for the site. As it turned out, my instincts were spot on, and the initial designs were approved without any revisions.
